Job summary

CS UK Recruitment Ltd presents an exciting Senior Support Worker role in a care home in the Brooke/Norwich area. The position requires an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent and offers a permanent full-time contract for 36 hours per week, with day or night shifts.

You will supervise and coach staff, contribute to care planning, and ensure high-quality care while maintaining strong communication with relatives and residents.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent required.
• Proven experience of working in a care setting.
• Good verbal and written communication skills; team player.

Responsibilities

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents.
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals.
• Contribute to care planning and coaching support workers.
• Promote services when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries.
• Update and write care plans and resident documentation.
• Make and report realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care.
• Administer medications to residents in line with policies.

**To be considered for this position you must have an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent**

As a Senior Support Worker your key responsibilities include:

• Recognise and facilitate the daily needs of residents
• Conduct formal supervisions and appraisals
• Contributing to care planning and coaching support workers
• Take an active professional role in promoting the services offered when dealing with relatives, prospective residents and enquiries
• Participate in updating and writing care plans and resident documentation
• Be responsible for making and reporting realistic assessments of each resident to ensure continuity of care
• Be responsible for administrating medication to the residents in accordance with policies and procedures

The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

• Proven experience of working in a care setting
• A good team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Have a genuine desire to care for others

The successful Senior Support Worker will receive an excellent salary of £15.00 - £16.00 per hour - Pay frequency is monthly.
