Senior Children's Support Worker for The Lighthouse (Surbiton)

Salary: £30,000 or £15.40 per hour

The Lighthouse Children's Home provides care for children with autism and learning disabilities and is based in Surbiton, SW London. Built on a culture of respect and fun, we are a family-run business now looking to welcome some fresh faces to our tight-knit team.

Requirements: Senior Support Worker

1. Must be at least 21 years old
2. Strong background in support work and social care
3. 1 year experience as a Senior/Team Leader - duties including shift leading, medication, staff supervision
4. Willing to undertake personal care
5. Confident working with challenging behaviour
6. A genuine passion in residential childcare
7. Experience in specialist care for children with autism, learning disabilities, or complex backgrounds

Responsibilities: Senior Support Worker

1. Supporting with team leadership
2. Carrying out risk assessments and updating care plans
3. Providing quality and consistent care to help meet social, emotional, and behavioural needs
4. Supporting young people to do their favourite things and to try new activities
5. Promoting child safety and welfare and working with relevant stakeholders to do the same
