Job summary

Hillcrest Futures is seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker for Crieff Services to empower individuals to live the life they choose. The role focuses on compassionate, person-centred support delivered by a caring team under strong leadership.

You will work across diverse needs including autism, dementia, and mental health, while promoting independence and meaningful relationships in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Must hold or be willing to undertake SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care.
• Willingness to undertake the Professional Development Award in Supervisory Management.
• A caring, compassionate nature with strong communication and listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Advising, supporting and supervising the staff team under the guidance of the Service Manager.
• Delivering person-centred support that aligns with each individual’s goals and interests.

About The Role

We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate Senior Support Worker to join our team. What You’ll Be Doing as a Senior Support Worker

• Advising, supporting and supervising the staff team: under the guidance of the Service Manager
• Making a real difference every day: by delivering person-centred support that celebrates each individual’s goals, interests and unique personality
• Supporting a diverse range of individuals: with varying needs, including autism, dementia, epilepsy, learning disabilities, mental health, and drug and alcohol support
• Promoting choice and independence: by empowering people to make decisions, achieve their goals, and live life on their own terms
• Building positive, meaningful relationships: founded on trust, respect and genuine understanding
• Helping people thrive: by providing encouragement, positivity and tailored support that enables them to live fulfilling and rewarding lives
• Bringing positivity every day: by helping individuals thrive in their own unique way

What We’re Looking For

• A caring, compassionate nature and a genuine desire to make a difference
• Great communication and listening skills
• Flexibility and adaptability as no two days are the same as a Senior Support Worker within our Crieff Services
• Applicants to hold an SVQ 3 in Health and Social Care, or the willingness and ability to undertake study to achieve this
• Applicants to hold a Professional Development Award in Supervisory Management, or the willingness and ability to undertake study to achieve this

Note: registering with the Scottish Social Services Council is a requirement of this role.
