Job summary

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is partnering with an international metals manufacturer to recruit a Supply Chain Manager for the Darley Dale operation. The role sits on the Site Leadership team and shapes the supply chain strategy, overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory, and compliance to ensure smooth delivery of materials and finished products.

Qualifications

• Sophisticated planning and control experience at a leadership level.
• Proven leadership over management is crucial.
• Strategic and analytical thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication across multiple departments.
• Proficiency in supply chain software and ERP systems.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for the Supply Chain and Logistics department, ensuring high performance.
• Develop and implement a robust supply chain strategy aligned with objectives; analyse market trends.
• Identify, evaluate and manage supplier partnerships with scorecard metrics and reporting.
• Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory and compliance; implement lean methods for efficiency.
• Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans for disruptions.
• Lead and develop a team of supply chain professionals; foster collaboration.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality, Technical, Finance and Commercial to forecast demand and ensure availability.
• Prepare and manage the supply chain budget and report on performance metrics.
• Future-proof the supply chain to support increasing order volumes.
