Job summary

Forged Solutions Group seeks an experienced procurement professional to manage sourcing of site consumables, services and capital spend (Indirect Spend – approx. £5 Million) at the Darley Dale site.

You will ensure effective on-site stores managed by 3rd parties and oversee related supplier contracts. Key duties include delivering spend reduction, coordinating RFPs, and leading supplier negotiations, with emphasis on governance and KPI reporting.

Qualifications

• Ideally educated to degree level in any discipline.
• MCIPS – Qualified or working towards.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MRO storeroom management and basic MRP controls.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Indirect procurement experience required.
• Able to meet tight deadlines with attention to detail.
• Advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong negotiation abilities.

Responsibilities

• Sourcing site consumables, services and capital spend; indirect spend around £5 million.
• Manage site Stores and 3rd party contracts; secure new ones as required.
• Lead group procurement projects through formal RFP procedures.
• Raise requisitions for spend areas as needed.
• Update and maintain supplier contracts in the system.
• Deliver spend reduction, cost avoidance and working capital savings.
• Implement SLAs to ensure high supplier performance.
• Liaise with Suppliers, Maintenance, Finance and Operations.
• Attend procurement reviews and report metrics.
