Job summary

Elevation Procurement & Supply Chain is seeking a Head of Logistics in Doncaster to shape transport strategy and oversee fleet operations. You will drive performance, ensure safety compliance, and support commercial growth while leading a high-performing team across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have senior logistics experience, strong KPI discipline, and a track record of delivering efficiency gains and cost control in fast-paced manufacturing or distribution environments.

Qualifications

• Senior logistics or transport leadership experience at head of department level.
• Proven transport and fleet management track record in multi-vehicle operations.
• Strong KPI analysis and data-driven decision making.
• In-depth health and safety knowledge and regulatory compliance.
• Experience leading and developing teams through change and growth.
• Commercial awareness with cost control and margin improvement experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage logistics function including transport and fleet operations.
• Develop strategies to optimise routes, utilisation and cost-effectiveness.
• Oversee fleet maintenance, compliance and asset utilisation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs; report performance to senior management.
• Ensure health and safety compliance across all logistics activities.
• Provide leadership coaching and drive a high-performance culture.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to support growth and margins.
• Lead continuous improvement across processes, systems, and workflows.
