Job summary

JL Renewable Solutions is recruiting a Senior Project Manager to lead high-voltage infrastructure projects in the UK, including ICP, BESS and substation work. The role combines design oversight, procurement and on-site delivery with travel to UK project sites.

You will manage complex programmes, budgets and stakeholder relationships, driving safety, quality and timely handovers from design through energisation. Hybrid working applies with site visits.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering HV electrical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery of HV electrical infrastructure and grid connection projects (33kV and 132kV).
• Coordinate design, procurement, construction, commissioning and energisation activities.
• Lead site managers, engineers, subcontractors and suppliers to deliver safely, on time and within budget.
• Develop and monitor project programmes, identify delays and implement actions.
• Collaborate with design/engineering to align technical requirements and approvals.
• Identify and manage project risks, particularly pre-construction and enabling works.
• liaise with DNOs/IDNOs, clients on grid connections and milestones.
• Maintain commercial oversight: budgets, variations, cost reporting and margin protection.
• Support commercial teams on contractual obligations and financial reporting.
• Oversee subcontractor performance and material/resource coordination.
• Ensure health, safety, environmental and quality compliance.
• Assist with ITPs, commissioning docs and handover requirements.
• Contribute input to tender reviews and project delivery planning.
