Job summary

Carrington West is seeking an experienced Dual Civil Project Manager to lead two major National Grid substation projects in Derbyshire. You will own delivery from planning through handover, coordinating civil subcontract teams and maintaining strong client and stakeholder relationships.

The role requires Tier 1 contractor experience, NEC3/NEC4 contract knowledge, programme and cost management, and a solid track record delivering complex civil works in the Transmission & Distribution market.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex civil projects in Transmission & Distribution.
• Project management at PM level for Tier 1 or major infra contractor.
• Strong knowledge of NEC3 and NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing programmes, commercial performance and multidisciplinary teams.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
• National Grid experience advantageous; DNO experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of two National Grid substation projects from planning through handover.
• Coordinate civil subcontract teams and maintain client relationships.
• Plan, procure, construct, commission and handover phases.
• Manage programmes, cost, quality and project performance.
• Ensure safety and compliance with project requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and key delivery partners.
• Work within NEC contract arrangements and manage contractual obligations.
• Maintain strong communication with client and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigations.
