Job summary

Carrington West is recruiting an experienced Dual Civil Project Manager for two major National Grid substations in Derbyshire. You will lead planning, procurement, construction, commissioning and handover, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and maintaining a strong client relationship.

The role requires Tier 1/infrastructure contractor background, NEC3/NEC4 knowledge, and SMSTS/CSCS. A robust growth pipeline in the UK energy sector accompanies this opportunity.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering complex civil projects in transmission and distribution.
• Experience as Project Manager for Tier 1 or major infrastructure contractor.
• Experience with NEC3/NEC4 contracts.
• Experience managing programmes and multidisciplinary teams.
• SMSTS and CSCS qualifications.
• National Grid experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of two major substation projects from planning through to handover.
• Coordinate civil subcontract teams and manage client/stakeholder relationships.
• Manage programme, cost, quality and overall project performance.
• Ensure works are delivered safely and in accordance with contract requirements (NEC).
• Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and delivery partners.
• Maintain strong communication with the client and stakeholders.
• Identify project risks and implement mitigation measures.
