Job summary

OMNIA Training is seeking a Principal Subcontract Specialist to support the British Army Collective Training Transformation Programme from the UK. This role leads subcontract activities, engages suppliers, and drives improvements to ensure mission readiness and delivery.

You will work in a matrix environment, report to OMNIA Training operations, and collaborate with Raytheon UK teams on subcontract execution and compliance, while maintaining security clearance requirements.

Qualifications

• University degree (STEM or business) or equivalent experience.
• Practical knowledge of subcontract management, supplier engagement, and contract execution.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, able to work mostly independently and engage across functions.

Responsibilities

• Manage Subcontractors/Suppliers with moderately sized contracts (£10–£40m) with minimal oversight.
• Manage small projects or subcontracting processes with autonomy and accountability for delivery.
• Apply advanced knowledge of subcontracting practices to solve difficult problems across multiple work areas.
• Management and negotiation of contracts, non-disclosure agreements and terms/conditions.
• Provide coaching and guidance to junior professionals, ensuring quality and consistency in subcontract execution.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to align on policies and procedures.
• Influence operational decisions and contribute to development of subcontracting processes and systems.
• Deliver day-to-day objectives that impact programme results.
