Job summary

Insignis Talent is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join a busy Bristol structural engineering team. You will produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D Revit models for a range of building projects, working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry members.

You’ll coordinate BIM and CDE processes, liaise with BIM coordinators and engineers, and help mentor junior technicians, while maintaining strong document control across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a structural technician.
• Strong Autodesk Revit skills required.
• Experience with steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Understanding BIM and CDE processes.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D structural drawings and 3D Revit models
• Work across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures
• Produce reinforced concrete detailing and schedules
• Collaborate with engineers to develop practical and buildable designs
• Support BIM coordination and project BIM standards
• Liaise with BIM coordinators and the broader design team
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices
• Maintain document control and work with project CDEs
