Job summary

Insignis Talent is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join a busy Bristol structural engineering team. You will produce detailed 2D drawings and 3D Revit models for a range of building projects, working with steel, concrete, timber and masonry members.

You’ll coordinate BIM and CDE processes, liaise with BIM coordinators and engineers, and help mentor junior technicians, while maintaining strong document control across projects.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a structural technician.
• Strong Autodesk Revit skills required.
• Experience with steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Understanding BIM and CDE processes.
• Ability to work independently and mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate 2D structural drawings and 3D Revit models

• Collaborate with engineers to develop practical and buildable designs

We're currently looking for a Senior Structural Technician to join a busy structural engineering team in Bristol.

The role will be focused on producing detailed structural drawings and 3D models, working closely with structural engineers across a range of building projects.

The role:

• Producing accurate 2D structural drawings and 3D Revit models
• Working across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures
• Producing reinforced concrete detailing and schedules
• Working closely with engineers to develop practical and buildable designs
• Supporting BIM coordination and working to project BIM standards
• Liaising with BIM coordinators and the wider design team
• Helping to mentor junior technicians and apprentices
• Working with project CDEs and maintaining good document control

About you:

• Strong experience working as a Structural Technician
• Excellent Autodesk Revit skills
• Good understanding of structural detailing and construction techniques
• Experience working with steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Good understanding of BIM and CDE processes
• Able to work independently while also supporting the wider team
• Strong attention to detail and good organisation

Experience with CADS RC and/or Dynamo would be an advantage but isn't essential.
