Job summary

Unknown is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join a busy structural engineering team in Bristol. The role focuses on producing detailed structural drawings and 3D models, working with engineers across a range of building projects.

You will produce 2D drawings and 3D Revit models, work with steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry, and develop detailed reinforcement schedules. The role includes BIM coordination, mentoring juniors, and ensuring proper document control.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Structural Technician.
• Expertise in 2D drawings and 3D Revit modelling.
• Strong understanding of steel, concrete, timber and masonry.
• Experience with BIM/CDE processes.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.
• Mentor junior technicians and apprentices.

We're currently looking for a Senior Structural Technician to join a busy structural engineering team in Bristol.

The role will be focused on producing detailed structural drawings and 3D models, working closely with structural engineers across a range of building projects.

The role:

• Producing accurate 2D structural drawings and 3D Revit models
• Working across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures
• Producing reinforced concrete detailing and schedules
• Working closely with engineers to develop practical and buildable designs
• Supporting BIM coordination and working to project BIM standards
• Liaising with BIM coordinators and the wider design team
• Helping to mentor junior technicians and apprentices
• Working with project CDEs and maintaining good document control

About you:

• Strong experience working as a Structural Technician
• Excellent Autodesk Revit skills
• Good understanding of structural detailing and construction techniques
• Experience working with steel and reinforced concrete structures
• Good understanding of BIM and CDE processes
• Able to work independently while also supporting the wider team
• Strong attention to detail and good organisation

Experience with CADS RC and/or Dynamo would be an advantage but isn't essential.
