Job summary

Insignis Talent is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join a busy structural engineering team in Bristol. You will produce accurate 2D drawings and 3D Revit models, collaborating with engineers across a range of building projects and supporting BIM coordination.

You will work independently as well as with the wider team, detailing reinforced concrete and steel structures, and mentoring junior technicians. This permanent role offers development opportunities in a dynamic office environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience working as a Structural Technician.
• Excellent Autodesk Revit skills.
• Good understanding of structural detailing and construction techniques.
• Experience working with steel and reinforced concrete structures.
• Good understanding of BIM and CDE processes.
• Able to work independently while also supporting the wider team.
• Strong attention to detail and good organisation.

Responsibilities

• Producing accurate 2D structural drawings and 3D Revit models.
• Working across steel, reinforced concrete, timber and masonry structures.
• Producing reinforced concrete detailing and schedules.
• Working closely with engineers to develop practical and buildable designs.
• Supporting BIM coordination and working to project BIM standards.
• Liaising with BIM coordinators and the wider design team.
• Helping to mentor junior technicians and apprentices.
• Working with project CDEs and maintaining good document control.
