Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join the Building Structures team located in Liverpool (Speke) or Norwich (Wymondham). The role focuses on producing and checking structural drawings and models, coordinating with other disciplines, and performing site surveys.

Based in a supportive, collaborative environment, you will contribute to high‑quality structural solutions for diverse projects, with a strong emphasis on CPD and inclusive workplace practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural or Civil Engineering, Building or Construction.
• Experience using REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD for building structures models and drawings.
• Experience in reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to European/British Standards.
• Experience in site inspections of work before or during construction.
• Commitment to Continuing Professional Development.

Responsibilities

• Producing and checking coordinated building structures drawings, design models, schedules and specifications within a quality assurance environment.
• Coordinating structural design information with other technical disciplines.
• Visiting sites to carry out surveys and inspections.

We're looking for a Senior Structural Technician to join our Building Structures team based in Liverpool or Norwich. Kier Design are a highly regarded Tier 1 Contractor, with a 750 plus strong design consultancy team, recognised as a Top 30 employer on Glassdoor.

Hours: 40 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

Are you…

• Holding a Bachelor's level degree in construction related discipline, or HNC or BTEC or equivalent qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering, Building or Construction
• Demonstrable experience of operating REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD software, producing building structures models and drawings compliant with the current CDM Regulations and British and European Standards
• Experienced in reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to European/British Standards
• Experienced in carrying out site or building inspections of work before or under construction
• Committed to Continuing Professional Development

As a Senior Structural Technician, you'll be working within the Building Structures team, supporting them in delivering coordinated structural engineering solutions.
