Kier Group plc. is seeking a Senior Structural Technician to join the Building Structures team. You will develop and check structural drawings and models, supporting diverse projects in a collaborative, inclusive environment.

The role involves site surveys, coordination with disciplines, and regular meetings with Kier, consultants, and clients. Based in Liverpool or Norwich, it offers a clear career path within a top contractor's design team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction-related discipline.
• Experience with REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD to produce building structures models and drawings.
• Proven ability to produce and check structural drawings in accordance with standards.
• Site surveys and inspections experience.

Responsabilités

• Produce and check coordinated building structures drawings, models, schedules and specifications in a QA environment.
• Check and coordinate design information with other technical disciplines.

As a Senior Structural Technician, you'll be working within the Building Structures team, supporting them in delivering coordinated structural engineering solutions.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on diverse and interesting projects, where your technical expertise will contribute to delivering high-quality structural solutions.

You’ll be working in a supportive and collaborative environment where your skills in producing and checking structural drawings, models and specifications will be highly valued.

Your day to day will include:

• Producing and checking coordinated building structures drawings, design models, schedules and specifications within a quality assurance environment
• Checking and coordinating structural design information with other technical disciplines
• Visiting sites to carry out surveys and inspections
• Attending meetings at Kier, consultant and client offices
• Promoting wellbeing and ensuring an inclusive workplace where diversity of thought, backgrounds and experience is actively encouraged

Holding a Bachelor's level degree in construction related discipline, or HNC or BTEC or equivalent qualification in Structural or Civil Engineering, Building or Construction

Demonstrable experience of operating REVIT, Navisworks and AutoCAD software, producing building structures models and drawings compliant with the current CDM Regulations and British and European Standards

Experienced in reinforced concrete detailing and scheduling to European/British Standards

Experienced in carrying out site or building inspections of work before or under construction
