Job summary

Kier Group plc in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Technician to support the Kier Design team in delivering civil, infrastructure and drainage designs from concept through to construction. You will help deliver efficient, coordinated and technically robust engineering solutions across a range of sectors, working with engineers and other design disciplines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience producing civil engineering drawings and 3D models.
• Skilled with AutoCAD and Civil 3D within consultancy environments.
• Knowledge of BIM workflows and digital engineering processes.
• Detail-oriented with ability to produce accurate design information.
• Familiar with UK design standards and drawing best practice.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-quality civil engineering drawings, models, schedules and technical information.
• Support BIM workflows including model coordination and IFC production.
• Prepare and coordinate drawing packages and project data across all stages.
• Coordinate design information with engineers and other disciplines.

Job description

Experienced in producing civil engineering drawings and models using AutoCAD and Civil 3D within a consultancy environment

• -Knowledgeable about BIM processes, digital engineering workflows and the production of 3D model deliverables
• -Detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate, coordinated and high-quality design information
• -Familiar with UK design standards, industry guidance and engineering drawing best practice

What will you be responsible for?

As a Civil Engineering Technician, you'll be working within the Kier Design team, supporting them in delivering civil engineering, infrastructure and drainage designs. You'll contribute to projects from concept through to construction, helping to deliver efficient, coordinated and technically robust engineering solutions across a range of sectors. Working closely with engineers and other design disciplines, you'll play a valuable role in bringing projects to life.

• Producing high-quality civil engineering drawings, models, schedules and technical information using AutoCAD and Civil 3D
• Supporting BIM and digital engineering workflows, including model coordination, IFC production and managing project information within the Common Data Environment
• Preparing, maintaining and coordinating drawing packages, model data and technical documentation throughout all project stages
• Coordinating design information with engineers and other technical disciplines to support integrated project delivery
• Assisting in the development of drainage, infrastructure, highways and external works designs
