Novax Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Senior Design Engineer for structural steel projects in Leeds. The role covers the full design process from initial concepts through to fabrication and site, with a focus on safe, practical and cost-effective solutions.

You will interact with clients and project teams across the UK and Europe. The ideal candidate will bring extensive structural design experience, strong knowledge of structural mechanics, and proficiency with Tekla Structural Designer, Fastrak

Competenze

• Extensive experience in structural design engineering roles.
• Experience with structural steelwork environments.
• Experience with Tekla Structural Designer / Fastrak Building Designer.
• Experience with Fastrak Portal Frame.
• Experience with Masterframe, STAAD.Pro or similar.
• Experience with Masterseries Connections or other connection design software.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and engineering requirements.
• Strong communication skills and client interaction.

Mansioni

• Designing and developing structural steel solutions to meet project requirements.
• Producing and reviewing structural calculations, ensuring designs are safe and compliant.
• Applying loadings and assessing stresses and load paths through structural elements.
• Working from construction drawings, specifications and client requirements.
• Developing design solutions using industry-standard structural engineering software.
• Working closely with clients, colleagues and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Supporting tendering and preparing technical information for bids.
• Ensuring designs comply with relevant legislation, standards and health & safety requirements.
• Considering buildability, efficiency and cost when developing structural solutions.
• Providing technical input and progress updates to clients and senior management.
• Maintaining high standards of quality throughout the design process.
