Job summary

Aldwych Consulting in Sidcup is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to lead small design projects and carry out structural surveys. You will apply practical, hands-on engineering judgment and provide clear recommendations to clients and to the project team.

The role requires autonomy, strong communication, and willingness to travel to sites. Hybrid working is offered with some days in the office and commuting distance from Sidcup.

Qualifications

• Degree in Structural Engineering required or equivalent.
• Experience with structural surveys and small design projects.
• Ability to perform load assessments and provide sound recommendations.
• Strong communication skills and ability to travel to sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead small design projects and perform structural surveys.
• Produce load assessments, adjustments and alterations.
• Advise on building safety cases and traditional buildings design.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team in a hybrid work setting.
