Job summary

Outsource UK is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work on aerospace projects for BAE Systems. The role covers structural sizing, Finite Element Analysis, fatigue and damage tolerance assessments, and producing engineering calculations using traditional methods and software tools.

You will mentor junior engineers while collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers to resolve technical challenges and improve processes.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong background in aircraft structural analysis.
• Experience with metallic and composite structures.
• FEM analysis experience.
• Experience in a design or structures engineering environment.
• Ability to operate across multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong reporting and presentation skills.

Senior Structural Engineer Client: BAE Systems Location: Warton, Prestwick or Brough Contract Length: 12 months Hybrid: onsite - Full time 37 hours per week Rate: £31.60 PAYE or £42.50 Umbrella inside IR35

Overview This is an opportunity to work on complex aerospace projects, contributing to structural analysis activities across metallic and composite aircraft structures. You will play a key role in delivering high quality engineering solutions while supporting and developing junior engineers within the team.

Clearance requirement: Eligible for SC clearance and UK eyes only
