Job summary

Outsource is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to work on complex aerospace projects for BAE Systems. Location options include Warton, Prestwick or Brough, with a 12-month contract and hybrid onsite working 37 hours per week.

SC clearance is required or eligible. You will perform structural sizing and finite element analyses on metallic and composite aircraft structures, produce engineering calculations, ensure certification compliance, lead analysis tasks, and mentor junior engineers while

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in a STEM discipline or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong background in aircraft structural analysis.
• Experience working with metallic and composite structures.

Responsibilities

• Structural sizing and analysis.
• Finite Element Analysis.
• Fatigue and damage tolerance assessments.
• Producing engineering calculations using traditional methods and software.
• Demonstrating compliance against certification and programme requirements.
• Leading and delivering analysis tasks for yourself and other team members.
• Mentoring junior engineers.
• Collaborating with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers to resolve technical challenges.
