Job summary

Ayesa Engineering - UK and Ireland, based in Manchester, is seeking a Senior Structural Design Engineer to lead structural design delivery for rail, bridges and infrastructure projects. You will develop calculations, drawings and technical reports, and guide junior engineers.

You're expected to apply Chartered/ICE/IStructE standards, coordinate with multi-discipline teams, liaise with clients, and contribute to project budgets and delivery while promoting safety and best practice.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering is required.
• Chartered status with IStructE or ICE is preferred or actively pursued.
• Experience delivering structural design projects from concept to construction is essential.

Responsibilities

• Take technical responsibility for delivery of structural design solutions across rail, bridge and infrastructure projects.
• Lead and contribute to preparation of structural calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Coordinate design activities with other disciplines and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and support junior engineers and review calculations for quality and compliance.
