Arup is seeking a Consultant to join the Protective Design Engineering team in London or Manchester, focusing on sustainable development and blast engineering across projects from advisory to detailed design.

You will develop risk-based security strategies, perform threat and vulnerability assessments, and model blast effects using specialist software while collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across geographies.

Competenze

• Masters degree in civil/structural engineering.
• Experience in blast engineering or related discipline desirable.
• UK Security Clearance or eligibility to apply for clearance.
• Proficiency with Rhino/Grasshopper and structural analysis software.
• Strong communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.

Mansioni

• Develop threat and vulnerability risk assessments for malicious threats.
• Create risk-based security strategies from concept through construction.
• Carry out blast modelling using engineering software and FE methods.
• Lead structural and façade blast design for diverse projects.
• Collaborate with architecture, façade, transport and civil teams.
