Job summary

AECOM seeks a Blast Associate Technical Lead within its Building Engineering Division in the UK. You will provide specialist blast design and support, collaborating with Security and Structural teams on diverse projects from offices to industrial facilities.

The role requires strong technical and design skills, experience with CFD/FE modelling, and the ability to engage senior stakeholders. Hybrid work options and career development are offered.

Qualifications

• Broad technical knowledge of security with emphasis on blast analysis and design.
• Ability to derive operational and strategic requirements to form a basis of design.
• Expertise in blast modelling and CFD for accurate blast-structure interaction.
• Proficiency with ANSYS/AutoDyn for 3D FEM.
• Strong documentation and reporting skills.

Responsibilities

• Engage with stakeholders to understand client needs and goals.
• Gather data and technical information for design.
• Write employer’s requirements and specifications.
• Perform CFD modelling and complex structural analysis.
• Develop concept/scheme designs and detailed designs.
• Tender management and vetting.
• Presentations and sales support.
• Mentor and share knowledge on SH&E best practices.
