Arup is seeking a Structural Engineer to join the protective design engineering team, focusing on blast engineering and Hostile Vehicle Mitigation across projects from concept to detailed design.

Based in London or Manchester, the role requires strong mainstream structural design skills, eligibility for UK Security Clearance, and the ability to work across disciplines with global teams. Travel to project sites will be required as needed.

Competenze

• Masters degree in civil/structural engineering is required.
• UK Security Clearance is essential or eligible.
• Experience in blast/protective design is desirable.
• Experience with structural analysis software tools is expected.

Mansioni

• Model structures against transient dynamic loading.
• Develop protective design and blast engineering measures from concept to detailed design.
• Prepare threat and vulnerability risk assessments for potential threats.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (architecture, façade, civil, fire, etc.).
• Travel to project locations as needed.
