Assystem is seeking a Senior/Principal Stress Engineer to lead complex stress and structural integrity analyses for the nuclear sector. This hybrid UK role combines hands-on technical work with shaping our stress capability and strategy.

You’ll mentor engineers, review technical outputs, support bids, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across nuclear and defence sectors while pursuing CEng or working toward it.

Qualifikationen

• Experience leading stress and structural integrity analyses in nuclear or similarly regulated sectors.
• Proficient with FEA software such as ABAQUS and ANSYS.
• Chartered Engineer status or working toward it.
• Ability to develop technical strategy and capability development.
• Experience reviewing and approving technical work with clients.

• Lead complex stress assessments and reviews for clients.
• Mentor and develop engineers in the stress community.
• Drive capability growth through training and best practices.
• Support bids and business development with Engineering Directors.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams across nuclear and defence sectors.
