Job summary

Uniper is seeking a Senior Steam Turbine Engineer to provide office, workshop and site-based technical support on steam turbines and BoP components across assets. The role acts as a technical authority for turbine matters and requires extensive design, refurbishment and life assessment experience.

You will lead expert consultancy, compile technical reports, and contribute to R&D projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across the company and with international sites.

Qualifications

• Detailed theoretical and practical knowledge of steam turbines and auxiliary equipment.
• Extensive design, manufacturing and refurbishment experience.
• Ability to undertake detailed component life assessment calculations.
• Degree-level education with equivalent extensive and relevant experience.
• Chartered membership of a relevant institution or qualifications leading to Chartered status.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert technical consultancy to team members and stakeholders on steam turbine assets from new-build to through-life support.
• Provide inspection, repair, maintenance and replacement recommendations during steam turbine overhauls.
• Compile and authorise technical reports relating to steam turbine expertise.
• Provide input to failure investigations and root cause analyses.
• Contribute to R&D projects and improvement concepts for steam turbine plants.
• Collaborate with technical specialists across disciplines and stakeholders.
