Job summary

Shanahan Engineering seeks Steam Turbine Mechanical Supervisors for future power plant projects across the UK, Ireland, Africa and APAC. The role focuses on supervision of inspections, assembly, commissioning, maintenance and modernization of steam turbines.

You will coordinate with ST engineers, technicians and generator engineers, mentor teams on nuclear site tasks, and prepare reports on equipment condition and repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience with steam turbines and generators.
• Ability to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams on site.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and oversee assembly, commissioning, maintenance and modernization of Steam Turbines.
• Coordinate with ST Engineers/Technicians and Generator engineers.
• Mentor technicians and craft labor on installation, repair, and troubleshooting of nuclear steam turbine systems.
• Prepare material procedures and reports on equipment condition and repairs.

For future power plants construction, commissioning and maintenance projects across UK, Ireland, Africa and APAC countries we are looking for Steam Turbine Mechanical Supervisors.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervisor/Perform inspections assembly and re-asembly, commissioning, maintenance, repairs, and modernization Steam Turbines
• Coordinates work with other ST Engineers / ST Technicians and Generator engineers
• Work with teams of technicians, field service engineers and craft labor personnel in the installation, repair maintenance and troubleshooting of nuclear ST their aux systems.
• Assist, prepare & maintain material procedures, standards and guides that provide project direction and coordination between the different teams on the nuclear site.
• Prepare and forward accurate reports concerning the condition and repairs and recommendations for customer equipment
• Performs the review of complex task plans, drawings, and installation schematics and provides continual mentorship throughout task duration.

Key Attributes

• Previous steam turbines and generators experience with major OEM equipment (GE, Siemens) is preferred
• Ability to follow instruction and thereafter, to use own initiative to complete required tasks.
• Strong written and verbal communication at all levels
