An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced, motivated, and enthusiastic Band 6 Senior Staff Nurse to join our friendly haemato-oncology ward at St George's Hospital, on a full-time fixed term basis. The ward cares for patients with a variety of haematological disorders and oncological conditions. The department works with a team of specialist consultants and nurses who collectively provide a comprehensive service covering diagnosis, treatment, palliative care, and end-of-life care. The haematology-oncology department comprises Gordon Smith Ward, Ruth Myles Ward and Trevor Howell Ward. A haematology day care unit is attached to Ruth Myles Ward and a chemotherapy suite attached to Trevor Howell Ward. A CNS team supports blood cancers, solid tumours and bleeding disorders, and a research team conducts trials. We strive to deliver the highest quality of care to all patients, always putting the patient first.
