Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Senior Staff Nurse for the Trauma Unit in Reading. The role involves delivering patient-focused care in a dynamic clinical area, with leadership responsibilities and opportunities for teaching and professional development.

A supportive environment includes a two-week induction, regular ward teaching, and an active trauma nursing education team. Applicants should have post-registration trauma/orthopaedic experience, NHS experience with Band 6

Qualifications

• Post-reg trauma/orthopaedic experience.
• NHS experience with leadership as Band 6.
• Spinal/traction training.
• Bowel care training and an orthopaedic course.

Responsabilités

• To deliver patient-focused programmes of care addressing complex and changing health needs in the trauma ward.
• Provide clinical and managerial leadership to nursing and support staff in the absence of senior ward leadership.
• Support ward education and supervise staff as part of the trauma unit team.
