Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, safe and patient-centred care in line with Trust policies and professional standards.
• Support the day-to-day coordination of the ward and provide leadership in the absence of the Ward Manager or Team Leader.
• Maintain accurate nursing records and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.
• Manage concerns, complaints, incidents and risks appropriately, escalating when required.
• Identify and elevate staffing, operational and patient safety issues to support effective service delivery.
• Participate in clinical supervision, mandatory training, reflective practice and continuing professional development.
• Apply learning to improve clinical practice and patient outcomes.
• Support the induction, supervision and development of student nurses, newly qualified nurses and new team members.
• Promote effective multidisciplinary working and contribute to a positive, inclusive team culture.
• Contribute to clinical audit, quality improvement and service development activities.
• Use resources responsibly and efficiently to support the delivery of high-quality care.
• Undertake clinical, administrative and leadership duties as delegated.
