Job summary

Moderna Therapeutics at its Harwell facility is seeking a QC Analytical Chemist to lead stability testing and analytical chemistry support for mRNA vaccine production. You will perform routine cGMP QC testing on materials and products, apply HPLC/UPLC/GC, and support stability studies across drug substance and product release.

The role requires 5–7 years in a pharmaceutical QC lab, strong GMP knowledge, and collaboration across QA, Manufacturing, and external labs to maintain data integrity and

Qualifications

• BA/BSc in Chemistry or related scientific discipline.
• 5–7 years in Quality Control Laboratory of a Pharmaceutical company.
• Strong knowledge of GMP, GLP, GCP, GVP or other applicable standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cGMP QC testing for raw materials, components, in-process materials, drug substance, product release and stability.
• Apply analytical techniques including HPLC, UPLC, GC, UV spectroscopy, DLS, and KF analysis.
• Coordinate GMP stability studies per approved protocols and SOPs; ensure regulatory compliance.
