Job summary

Schneider Electric in the United Kingdom is seeking a Specification Engineer to grow our share of wallet in North West & Yorkshire by engaging consulting engineers and project stakeholders to design and specify Schneider Electric solutions.

This senior, customer-facing role requires credibility, commercial awareness, and persistence to influence long design and procurement cycles across low-voltage distribution, protection, metering, energy management, and software solutions.

Qualifications

• Relevant experience within the electrical industry, consulting engineering, building services, specification engineering, technical sales, low-voltage power distribution, switchgear, or a related technical environment.
• Proven experience influencing technical decision-makers and developing opportunities through long and complex project lifecycles.
• Experience managing a portfolio of strategic customer relationships and multiple concurrent projects across a large territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute consultant account plans across Premier+, strategic, and priority regional design firms within North West & Yorkshire.
• Build trusted relationships with consulting engineers, technical directors, design managers, end users, contractors, and other project influencers.
• Influence project designs from concept and early-stage planning through detailed design, tender, procurement, and delivery to maximise Schneider Electric specification content and retention.
• Create, develop, and manage a high-quality, full width-of-wallet project pipeline across Schneider Electric products, systems, software, and services.
