Job summary

Cygnet is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to lead and deliver an evidence-based SLT service for adults with learning disabilities and autism, across multiple residential sites. You will supervise junior staff, train teams, and contribute to service development within the MDT.

The role focuses on assessment, therapy, dysphagia management, and complex case support. Relocation assistance and extensive CPD opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in learning disabilities including autism spectrum disorders.
• Knowledge of low tech/high tech AAC.
• Ability to assess and manage eating, drinking and swallowing needs.
• Ability to supervise a junior SLT.
• Strong team player with flexibility in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of an evidence-based SLT service within the complex client group.
• Train others, promote best practice and embed positive, inclusive environments.
• Provide clinical supervision to junior SLTs across two homes.
• Contribute to annual service development reviews and student placements.
• Collaborate with the MDT and external Stakeholders to improve outcomes.
