Job summary

Barts Health NHS Trust is seeking a Highly Specialist Speech and Language Therapist to manage a specialist caseload of adults with complex swallowing and communication disorders. The role involves assessment, diagnosis, treatment and ongoing management using evidence-based practice, within the Whipps Cross/U.K.

community setting. The post holder will lead on complex case management, develop rehabilitation pathways, and deliver training to staff and students while supervising junior clinicians.

Qualifications

• Eligible for registration with HCPC as a Speech and Language Therapist.
• Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent and active practice license.
• Experience in assessing and treating adults with complex dysphagia or communication disorders.

Responsibilities

• Manage a specialist caseload of adults with swallowing and communication disorders.
• Lead on complex case management and supervise junior clinicians.
• Collaborate with MDTs to develop rehabilitation pathways and deliver training.
• Produce activity reports and contribute to service improvement initiatives.
