Job summary

HCRG Care Group is seeking a Highly Specialist Psychologist to join the Learning Disability Service in Swindon. You will deliver advanced assessment, formulation and interventions for adults with complex needs within a multidisciplinary team.

The role focuses on consultation, supervision and leadership in Positive Behaviour Support, with opportunities for service development and research. 22.5 hours per week in a community-based setting.

Qualifications

• DClinPsy or equivalent and HCPC registration; eligibility for Chartered Clinical Psychologist status.
• Experience in psychological assessment and intervention with learning disabilities; consultation experience.
• Advanced assessment, formulation and therapy, Positive Behaviour Support; knowledge of research methods.

Responsibilities

• Deliver highly specialist psychological assessment, formulation and intervention for adults with learning disabilities.
• Provide person-centred psychological support to individuals, families and carers across settings.
• Lead on supportive strategies for challenging behaviours and risk management.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated care and ensure responsive interventions.
• Develop training, consultation and specialist advice for carers and professionals.
• Contribute to clinical audit, research and quality improvement initiatives.
