Job summary

LGH Hotels Management Limited in Chester is seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join the culinary team. You will work with the Executive Head Chef to lead daily kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food quality, presentation and cost control.

You will manage the kitchen in the Executive Head Chef’s absence, mentor staff, and uphold safety and hygiene across the kitchen in a busy hotel environment.

Qualifications

• Experience as a senior Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie.
• Leads by example and supports the development of others.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.
• Organised, reliable and commercially aware.

Responsibilities

• Support the Executive Head Chef in day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the Executive Head Chef.
• Oversee food preparation and presentation to high standards.
• Implement standard recipes while maintaining food cost control.
• Lead and support the kitchen team during service.
• Ensure food safety, hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Maintain a calm, organised and professional kitchen environment.
