Job summary

LGH Hotels Management Limited is seeking a talented Sous Chef to join our culinary team in Chester, delivering high-quality food across the hotel. You will support menu delivery, uphold presentation standards, and help run the kitchen in the Head Chef’s absence.

You will work closely with the Head Chef to maintain consistency, train staff, and ensure food safety and hygiene standards are met, while driving teamwork and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sous Chef or strong Senior Chef de Partie.
• Ability to lead and support a kitchen team in a busy hotel environment.
• Solid understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Support the executive Head Chef and senior sous chef in daily kitchen operations.
• Take responsibility for the kitchen in the absence of the executive Head Chef and senior sous chef.
• Oversee food preparation to ensure high-quality, consistently presented dishes.
• Follow standard recipes and manage food cost controls.
• Lead and support the kitchen team during service.
