Chefs for Chefs is recruiting a Senior Sous Chef for a multi-award-winning countryside inn in Barkisland, Halifax. You will work closely with the Head Chef to lead the kitchen, maintain two AA Rosettes and develop seasonal menus with fresh, local ingredients.

The role offers a four-day working week, a competitive £35,000–£40,000 salary, weekly service charge, and opportunities to progress within a renowned kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head Chef with day-to-day kitchen operations.
• Lead and support the kitchen team during busy services.
• Prepare and cook fresh, seasonal food to a high standard.
• Maintain presentation, quality and portion control.
• Develop new dishes and seasonal menu ideas.
• Ensure food safety and hygiene standards.
• Mentor junior chefs.
• Assist with ordering, stock control and kitchen organisation.
• Maintain two-AA-Rosette standards.
