Artemis is seeking an experienced Senior Sous Chef to work in our busy wedding venue kitchen at Bassmead Manor Barns, Staploe. You will be self-motivated, calm under pressure with a passion for cooking using fresh ingredients.

The role is full-time, 5 days over 7, with immediate start and pay £32,000–£35,000 per year. Candidates must have at least 2 years in a similar role, own transport, and be eligible to work in the UK. No live-in.

• 2 years’ experience in a Senior Sous Chef role.
• Passion for cooking and high standards.
• Own transport due to countryside location.
• Eligible to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high standards of food for 100+ covers.
• Follow allergens policy and kitchen management procedures.
• Report to Head Chef and communicate with team.
• Use Checkit for kitchen management.

The must haves-

• 2 years’ experience in a similar position.
• A passion for cooking.
• A proven track record, with good references to support your CV.
• Team Player.
• Deputising for the Head Chef.
• Good Communication skills, with an understanding of HACCP.
• Own transport is essential due to the countryside location.
• Candidates must be eligible to work full-time in the UK. WE DO NOT OFFER LIVE IN.

What will my responsibilities include?

• Working as part of the team to ensure high standards of food preparation and service are kept. Maintaining a clean environment.
• To follow our allergens policy and kitchen management package. (Full training given).
• Day to day reporting to the Head chef/Sous chef. Responding to emails.
• Using Checkit (full training given).
