Artemis are hiring a Commis chef to join our team at Bassmead Manor Barns Wedding venue in the Bedfordshire countryside. You will work with a dedicated team to prepare high-quality dishes using fresh, seasonal ingredients.

The role requires self-motivation, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a real passion for cooking. You will benefit from training, uniform provided, and career development across our estate, with a 45-hour week and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a similar position.
• A passion for cooking.
• Proven track record with good references.
• Good communication skills with HACCP understanding.
• Own transport is essential due to the location.
• Eligible to work full-time in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the team to ensure high standards of food preparation and service.
• Follow allergens policy and kitchen management package (full training provided).
• Day-to-day reporting to the Head Chef/Sous Chef and responding to emails.
• Use Checkit as part of kitchen management (full training provided).

The successful candidate will need to be self-motivation, with the ability to remain calm under pressure. • Good Communication skills, with an understanding of HACCP.

What will my responsibilities include?

• Working as part of the team to ensure high standards of food preparation and service are kept. Maintaining a clean environment.
• To follow our allergens policy and kitchen management package. (Full training given).
• Day to day reporting to the Head chef/Sous chef. Responding to emails.
• Using Checkit (full training given).
