Job summary

The Royal Automobile Club is seeking a talented Senior Sous Chef to join our Epsom clubhouse. You will lead the kitchen operation, maintain the highest standards of food quality, and ensure an outstanding experience for our members and guests.

You will manage daily kitchen operations, supervise the brigade, work with restaurant managers to ensure cohesion between front and back of house, and create rotas while developing your team.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar senior role; proven leadership in a kitchen.
• Level 3 food hygiene; food safety compliance.
• Strong management and leadership skills; ability to guide a brigade.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen operations and lead the kitchen brigade, ensuring the Head Chef’s vision is executed.
• Work with Restaurant managers to ensure strong communication and teamwork between front and back of house.
• Communicate daily with front of house and internal teams for events.
• Monitor and supervise staff restaurant facilities.
• Supervise with Back of House Manager/Supervisor.
• Lead by example to motivate and develop the team.
• Oversee all food production to maintain consistency in taste, quality and presentation.
• Create work schedules (rotas) and assign daily tasks.

Purpose of the role

We are looking for a talented and driven Senior Sous Chef to join our team based at our Epsom clubhouse. You will play a key role in leading the kitchen operation, maintaining the highest food standards and ensuring an outstanding experience for our members and guests.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily kitchen operations and lead the entire kitchen brigade, ensuring the Head Chef’s vision is executed with precision.
• Work closely with the Restaurant managers to ensure good communication and team work, front and back of house.
• Communicate daily with front of house team, internal customers with daily business events.
• Monitor and supervise the Staff restaurant facility
• Supervise with the Back of House Manager/Supervisor
• Lead by example to ensure that each member of the team is motivated, engaged and fulfilling their potential.
• Oversee all food production to ensure every dish meets consistent standards for taste, quality, and presentation.
• Create work schedules (rotas), assign daily tasks, and manage team performance.
