Job summary

Ultra is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to own the day-to-day provision and support of on-premises VDI infrastructure across Maidenhead and Farnborough. You will lead migrations, collaborate with IT teams and vendors, and drive improvements while ensuring security and compliance.

The role involves managing incidents, changes, testing DR/BC plans, and shaping processes for cost efficiency across multi-site IT environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in information technology, Information Systems, Business, or equivalent professional experience.
Minimum 5 years of relevant IT infrastructure or solutions engineering experience.
Ability to obtain/maintain required security clearance.
Experience with VDI environments and related tooling.
Strong cross-functional collaboration and vendor management.

Responsibilities

Manage and optimise day-to-day operations of the VDI estate for performance and security.
Lead migration and upgrade projects to next-generation VDI platforms.
Collaborate with Architecture, Service Delivery, and vendors to drive improvements.
Ensure security, data protection compliance, and regulatory adherence.
Oversee incident, change management, and ongoing service improvement.
