Job summary

Talkdesk is seeking a seasoned Solutions Engineer in the Greater London area to drive technical engagements with enterprise customers. You will conduct discovery, deliver compelling demonstrations, and tailor solutions that meet business requirements.

The role blends presentation excellence with hands-on design work, including pilots and RFI/RFP responses, leveraging UCaaS/CCaaS knowledge and BI tools to illustrate value.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS, or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience as a Solutions Engineer in software, VOIP/telecommunications, contact centers, or premise/cloud selling to enterprise customers.
• Ability to command attention in a room by delivering compelling presentations and demonstrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to meet business requirements with a technical solution.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to lead technical discussions and demonstrations with customers.
• Knowledge of Customer Relationship Management software, ITSM, Data Warehousing, or Business Intelligence is a plus.
• Knowledge of UCaaS and CCaaS software is a plus.
• Knowledge of web or scripting technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research prospects and their business environment, market, customers, competitors, and business challenges to prepare for meetings.
• Conduct discovery conversations with customers to understand needs, requirements, pains, objectives, and potential solution needs.
• Gather metrics needed for pricing and value discussions.
• Use in-depth knowledge of our solutions and capabilities to recommend the appropriate solution for customer needs.
• Continuously learn our solutions to stay current with innovations and new releases.
• Design and deliver on-site and virtual presentations aligned to customer needs uncovered during discovery.
• Generate simple value statements that illustrate the financial value of our solutions to customers.
• Assist with scoping SOWs for customer implementations as needed.
• Scope, execute, and manage customer pilots and POCs.
• Respond to functional and technical RFI/RFP requirements and map them to our software solution.
• Work closely with product management and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is incorporated into product roadmaps.
• Assist with marketing and demand generation events as needed.
