Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Solutions Architect for the UK Public Sector to advise on security, cost, performance and best-practice architectures within central government, public safety and transportation. You will lead technical discussions with executive stakeholders and help shape cloud-native reference architectures.

The role involves owning customer relationships, driving improvements to the AWS platform, and mentoring others in the Solutions Architecture organization.

Qualifications

• Experience in design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures.
• Knowledge of cloud architecture.
• Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients.
• Experience within specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics).
• Eligible and willing to undergo UK Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Owns the technical relationship with customers, making recommendations on security, cost, performance, reliability and best-practice architectures.
• Advocates on behalf of the customer to inform the AWS roadmap and helps hire, coach and mentor others.
• Translates technology into cloud-native reference architectures and shares best practices with the AWS Solutions Architect community.
