Job summary

Clifton Search represents a highly acquisitive global organisation seeking a Senior Sole Counsel based in the UK. The role is standalone and highly autonomous, reporting to the CEO within a global group.

You will own legal strategy, manage international contracts, data protection, privacy compliance, and IP/Regulatory matters across software, media and telecoms, including SaaS/IaaS/PaaS licensing.

Qualifications

• UK Qualified Solicitor with senior/lead experience.
• International experience in a Software Tech environment.
• UK-based, hands-on and flexible.

Responsibilities

• Full legal responsibility across the newly acquired organisation.
• Advising and negotiating and leading on a wide range of commercial contracts.
• Significant lead experience of international contracts or contracts under foreign laws.
• Robust negotiation skills for high-value contracts with customers.
• Experience of software licensing contracts, SaaS, IaaS, PaaS.
• Advising on global data protection and privacy compliance.
• Lead compliance management related to privacy and consumer protection laws.
• AI/ML Regulatory Strategy.
• IP Portfolio Management.
