Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Product Design & Engineering team in London. You will shape architectures for global artists and labels, delivering high-quality user experiences and scalable systems across the stack.

You will mentor peers, contribute to architecture decisions, and drive best practices in an agile environment while working with React, TypeScript, Python, and cloud technologies to ship robust features.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience in distributed systems.
• Proficient in Python and JavaScript.
• Strong in frontend with TypeScript, React and GraphQL.
• Experience with databases such as Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake and Elasticsearch.
• Knowledge of low-latency techniques to improve page load time and reliability.
• Experience with microservices, APIs and REST/HTTP/OAuth and AWS.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build products for global artists and labels.
• Contribute across the architecture to deliver robust user experiences.
• Write clean, tested, and maintainable code.
• Partner with product management to capture client requirements.
• Design and execute a technical vision with teams across technology.
• Participate in re-architecture and design of systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous learning.
