Sony Music Entertainment in London is seeking a Software Engineer to join the PDEGO team at Kings Cross. You will power technology that supports artists and labels worldwide, working across distributed systems and modern cloud-native architectures.

The role requires 5+ years in software engineering, proficiency in Python or JavaScript/TypeScript, React, GraphQL, REST APIs and AWS, with a passion for reliable testing, agile delivery, and scalable solutions across global teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering with distributed systems.
• Proficiency in Python and/or JavaScript/TypeScript and React.
• Experience with GraphQL, REST APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Familiarity with microservices, REST/HTTP, and cloud-native architectures.
• Knowledge of the software development lifecycle, testing, and agile teams.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build products for artists and labels worldwide.
• Contribute to all tiers of architecture to deliver robust user experiences.
• Write clean, tested, maintainable code and iterate with product management.
• Participate in re-architecture and technical design of systems.
• Support scalable, distributed systems and cloud-based services.
