Job summary

Sony Music Entertainment in London is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our accounting & royalties development team. You will help design and implement scalable software that powers artists and labels worldwide.

You will work with frontend and backend technologies, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to architecture decisions that improve reliability, performance and data quality across platforms.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Frontend development experience with TypeScript, React and GraphQL.
• Experience with various databases and query languages (Neo4j, Kafka, MySQL, Snowflake, Elasticsearch).
• Familiar with low-latency techniques; microservices and APIs (REST, HTTP, OAuth).
• Comfortable with AWS cloud; log analysis and testing (unit/integration).
• Experience in agile teams; data modeling and schema design; KPI-driven thinking.

Responsibilities

• Work with a cross-functional team to build products for artists and labels globally.
• Contribute to all tiers of the architecture to deliver high-quality user experiences.
• Collaborate with product management to understand client requirements.
• Design, communicate and execute a vision with the team and other tech groups.
• Participate in re-architecture, refinement and technical design of systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster learning culture.
