Job summary
Sony Music Entertainment is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our PDEGO engineering team in London. You will shape architecture, set engineering standards, and drive long-term technical direction across global platforms, mentoring engineers and partnering with product and business stakeholders.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years in software engineering, strong experience with TypeScript and React, microservices, AWS, data pipelines, and a passion for building scalable, reliable systems
Qualifications
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- Experience with TypeScript and React in production.
- Experience designing microservices and APIs using REST.
- Comfortable with AWS cloud technologies and observability.
Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and implementation of scalable software solutions supporting Sony Music's critical global platforms.
- Drive architecture decisions across distributed systems, APIs, data pipelines, and platform services.
- Partner closely with Product, Operations, and stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into elegant technical solutions.
- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code while establishing engineering best practices across the team.
- Mentor engineers through technical coaching, code reviews, and architectural guidance.
